Coming: Some cosmic mystery numbered odd if classical, even if modern recording
Launch: 1 Jan 2022:
The index below is most of the drop of 120 articles initiating the HMR Project which comes in two vases, classical and modern recording. Written from May to November 2021, it covers about 4.44% of the VF History. Articles were selected for organizational reasons, as well as to lend some indication of where HMR will be heading: all about the western hemisphere from early classical to artists found on a commercial issue by 1970. However, before cycling through other genres and time periods, a better minimal base needs to be built. Priority will be going to medieval music until I reach the Renaissance or at least 1400 AD, as medieval music combined with early recording to 1900 come to about 5% of the VF History. I'll be rotating coverage of medieval music with modern recording until jazz and pop are covered to 1920. It would be nice to have a strong foundation firmly in the Renaissance on its way to baroque, and electronic recording only five years ahead, before bumping other genres and periods. That is, not until I've traversed at least 900 years of classical and thirty years of acoustic recording to the Roaring Twenties will I desist from a rigid chronological procedure and open HMR to other areas somewhat indicated below. For my purposes, HMR is sectioned into nine categories. The three major are Classical, Jazz and R&B-Rock. The six minor, because there are less of them, are Black Gospel, Blues, Folk, Country (C &W), Latin and Popular. Hopefully I can revisit all of those again before 2023. I will still be following a largely chronological path, though divided into periods, so artists who first recorded in 1969 aren't likely to be found in HMR for a rather long time, even could I hire authorities in each field to assist. All profiles below, written May to November 2021, share the same launch date.

(The VF History begins "late" w the advent of the soundtrack. Musically speaking, though, the early fifties around the advent of television would be more correct. I hedged a bit on that to avoid adding a middle section, hoping notes to suffice until the day that such may never get rectified.)
